The 2006 Champions League final between Barcelona and Arsenal was a game of incredible highs and lows. In the 76th minute, Eto’o found himself in the right place at the right time. A slick pass from Henrik Larsson found Samuel’s run inside the box… and he expertly slotted the ball through Almunia’s legs and into the back of the net to level the score at 1-1.
It was a moment of pure magic from Eto’o. He showed incredible poise and composure to find the back of the net in the midst of such high stakes.
The goal was a turning point in the match, and Barcelona’s momentum only continued to grow from there. In the end, they secured a 2-1 victory to lift the trophy.
